Four members of the 2009-2010 Austin College men’s basketball team have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, the organization has announced. In order to achieve this honor, players must be a junior or a senior and maintain a grade-point-average of 3.2 or higher during the entire academic year.
All four Kangaroos honored were seniors last season, including Taylor Beatty, Kyle Lintelman, Arron Mewbourn and Michael Todd. Beatty graduated with a dual major in Biology and Exercise Sports Science, Lintelman received a dual degree in Sports Medicine and Business Administration, Mewbourn majored in both Business and Exercise Sports Science and Todd received his degree in Business this past spring.
The NABC honors players from all across the country in NCAA Division I, II, III and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as members of its Honors Court.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
