Chelsea Parker’s goal in the 86th minute of action proved to be the difference maker for the Austin College women’s soccer team, breaking a tie game and giving the ‘Roos a 2-1 victory over Oglethorpe University on Sunday. The ‘Roos are now 8-1 overall this season.
Austin College struck first when Emma Treu scored on an assist from Natalie Nelms in the 30th minute, but Oglethorpe leveled things up in the 65th minute. Just as it appeared things would be headed for overtime, Parker punched in a rebound to lift the ‘Roos to victory.
