The Austin College football team had its hands full through three quarters on Saturday afternoon, but 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter put the game away and lifted the ’Roos to a 34-17 victory over the Sewanee Tigers at Jerry Apple Stadium. The ’Roos are now 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the year.

Anderson hit a 36 yard field goal early in the fourth to make it a 20-17 game in favor of the ’Roos, and the momentum shifted completely in favor of the ’Roos with just under six minutes left to play.
The ’Roos pushed their lead to 27-17 with 5:51 to play on a 37 yard touchdown toss from Blake Towery to Greg Harrell and just 16 seconds later the lead grew to 34-17 when Ben Youngblood scooped up a fumble recovery on the first play of the next Sewanee possession and raced 34 yards for a touchdown to put the game away.
