The Alumni Board, the governing body of the Alumni Association, is comprised of approximately 40 alumni from various class years, geographic locations and interests. These board members represent the full membership of over 13,000 alumni and provide overall direction for all alumni activities. The Alumni Board meets three times per year to advise the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations; to help plan College events for alumni; and to express the ideas, opinions, and concerns of Austin College alumni to the administration.
The Executive Committee of the Alumni Board consists of four officers (the president, the president-elect, and two vice presidents) and the chairs of the standing committees (nominations, awards, Homecoming, and Alumni College). Also serving on the Alumni Board are the presidents of the special letter associations: “A” (athletics) Association, “C” (choir) Association, “L” (law) Association, and the Greek Alumni Council (GAC).
