Student Life is a student-focused program that offers intentional active learning opportunities for students that complements their formal academic program. Members of the Student Life Office assist students through advising, counseling, consulting, teaching, and training to develop the skills and abilities needed to become contributing citizens in a pluralistic society.
These intentionally designed programs and activities are based on the experiential learning concepts. Here are just a few of the many opportunities available at Austin College.

Campus Activities Board
CAB is responsible for planning, promoting and implementing a wide variety of activities on campus for all Austin College students. Events include bands, comedians, participatory events, a movie series, and a variety of other interesting venues.
Clubs & Organizations
Austin College student clubs range from the academic (art, biology, chemistry, pre-law, pre-med, physics) to ethnic, environmental, gender issues, political, religious, athletic, cultural, and international relations clubs.
Greek Life
Austin College Greek organizations are local in nature, meaning they are unique to Austin College and have no national affiliations. Any student in good standing who has completed at least one semester at Austin College and meets the RUSH guidelines may participate in RUSH, which takes place every year in February.
Residence Life
As anyone will tell you, some of the most important lessons you’ll ever learn take place living on campus in the residence halls.
After all, this is your home for the majority of your years at Austin College. Here’s where you learn about sharing space and ideas, making and enforcing rules, taking care of yourself and others all with a fully trained residential life staff to back you up.
Student Publications
The Observer is the student newspaper and the Chromascope is the yearbook.
